The Final Album

Wow this announcement has been a long time coming— @joanofarcband started making our final record in 2017, knowing the whole time it’d be the last one and making every choice guided by that fact. So this isn’t pandemic-related. ——— I wouldn’t say we “broke up” as much as we “went out of business“. The community & culture we came up thru went extinct yrs ago & finally it just became unsustainable to keep doing it. I still love my bandmates as much as anyone on earth! ———Our first show was in ‘96 w @racetraitor & Rye Coalition at the Autonomous Zone that is now @handlebarchicago & our last show was at the Berghain cantina in berlin fall 2018 & in-between we were very very lucky to partner w innumerable people to play & make friends all over the world—it was all very exhausting & very fun!———& Now that this final chapter is done I’m hoping people can understand the whole thing in a way that people seemed to find difficult to do thru the duration of it being a living thing. ———it’s called “Tim Melina Theo Bobby” & it’s out in dec on @joyfulnoiserecs & @7ep_tokyo —it’s pretty simple to enjoy compared to a lot of what we did & nothing epic, definitely a continuation of the last couple records: simple beautiful moments; noisy rockers; 80’s hip-hop & Can jams.
